Senator introduces "light bulb law"

You could call it the light bulb law. It's an effort by Sen. Tony Fulton that would keep the state attorney general from getting involved in a federal regulation.

It has to do with the Energy Independence and Security Act phasing out incandescent lights and replacing them with more energy efficient ones.

The new bulbs haven't been popular. Part of the reason is their cost, and low light.

Well, LB 1164 would make it so that the Attorney General cannot enforce the federal law.

Texas is also fighting part of the incandescent bulb phase-out.
