Slot machines and gaming tables - they're not allowed in Nebraska right now, but should they be? That's what one Nebraska state senator wants voters to decide.

Columbus state senator Paul Schumacher has proposed a constitutional amendment to allow casino gambling in the state.
It was heard by the General Affairs Committee Monday.

Right now Nebraska does allow keno, horse racing and a lottery, but the state has resisted video gambling machines and casinos.
Keno operator and HK Sports Bar and Grill owner Mike Nevrivy says it could keep money from leaking out of the state, but there also concerns.

Lawmakers voted down two proposals in 2004 to allow casino gambling in the state.
