Fifth and sixth graders aren't just learning how to be productive students and bright future professionals, they're also being taught to make good decisions in their social lives.

In April, 5th and 6th students who have successfully completed D.A.R.E will walk across the stage as graduates.

The program is not funded by the federal or state government.

One of the reasons why the Eagles Club in Hastings hosted a Soup and Pie Supper for the Hastings Police Department's Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.

The goal is to raise $1,000 to help fund D.A.R.E activities for Hastings Public and Parochial schools.
