Special permits issued for antlerless deer

Nearly two dozen special hunting permits will be issued by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for antlerless deer.

The permits will allow hunting in designated areas of Eugene T. Mahoney and Platte River State Parks, as well as the Schramm Park State Recreation Area.

Applications are limited to one person and will be accepted through the end of October.

Those lucky enough to receive the permits will have to attend an orientation session.
