Shamrocks, leprechauns, the color green, and Murphy's.
They all go hand in hand for St. Patrick's Day.

Murphy's Wagon Wheel in Hastings sets the tone for the Irish holiday.

They serve corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, and of course green beer.

They also have a live band.

Hundreds of green shamrocks hang from the ceiling.

Last year was the busiest St. Patrick's Day the bar has ever had.

They say it's a tradition for many.

"We have so many regulars that come in and try to sit," said Jameson Murphy. "They come in at the same time every year, they get the same thing every year."

"We are just having a lot of fun," said Kathy Tessman. "We come here every year to Murphy's and we look forward to St. Patty's Day celebration and we're here again."

They aren't expecting to beat last year's record considering St. Patty's Day was on a Saturday.

But they say having Whoopers and Hoopers in town the same weekend helps boost business.
