State Patrol enforces for "Click It or Ticket" for holiday

The Nebraska State Patrol will be participating in the national "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaign this week.

The focus of the program is to help reduce serious injury and fatality crashes, increase visibility; and raise awareness of seat belt use.

The special enforcement efforts begin Monday and run through Sunday.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, fatalities in the state are up.

As of November 15th, 183 people have been killed on Nebraska roads this year. That compares to one 159 fatalities during the same time period last year.
