The next Miss Rodeo Nebraska was given her crown Saturday evening.

The Coronation of Samantha Chytka was held at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings.

The event had live music and helped to raise money to help with travel costs for the upcoming year.

Chyka is originally from Broken Bow but attended Hastings College.

She barrel raced during high school and college.

Chytka is excited to travel across the country attending rodeos, parades, fairs, schools, and agriculture related functions.

"I'm really looking forward to all the people that I'm going to meet and representing our state and the sport of rodeo and attending some of the biggest rodeos of the year and just really being out there and socializing," said Chytka, 2013 Miss Rodeo Nebraska. "That's really what rodeo is about. It's a big family and I'm looking forward to expanding that family."

Chytka will represent Nebraska at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo next December.

One of her goals for the future is to have her own animal assistant therapy program to work with troubled or disadvantaged youth.
