Tri-City roads remain treacherous after storm

Slick spots, and ice chunks. Spinouts and wrecks. Last week's blizzard is causing some concerns among area residents.

Streets across the Tri-Cities are covered in thick, slippery ice. This is making for some dangerous driving conditions.

Look around at an intersection and you'll see cars having trouble stopping and even starting on these icy streets.

We spoke to the Hastings Street Department on why roads are still so bad.

"They're going to be icy for quite a while yet. It doesn't look like the temperatures are going to come up at all this week. So, we're just out trying to get sanding done and do what we can for right now," said Stu Mohlman, Hastings Street Department.

Tonight on News 5 at 6:00 we were on scene for one of about six car accidents in Hastings Wednesday.
