A chilly new exhibit at the Hastings Museum

Polar bears, walruses and penguins, are just some of the animal that were brought to life in a new photographic exhibit at the Hastings Museum this weekend.

Polar Obsession is the new visual exhibit on display in the east gallery of the museum.

More than 57 vivid stills show life and landscape at both poles.

The stunning pictures are the work of National Geographic photographer, Paul Nicklen.

"It leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder about what lives for these animals must be like, about what life in that area would be like and the diversity of life on our planet," said one museum attendant.

The photos will be on display for the public until March 24.
