Consensus says Governor Mitt Romney won the first presidential debate a week ago.

Now, Paul Ryan will try to go for the republican sweep Thursday in Kentucky.

Ahead of Thursday night's vice presidential debate, a new poll is out suggesting voters believe Paul Ryan will prevail over Joe Biden.

According to Pew Research Center, 40-percent of registered voters say Ryan will outperform Biden, while 34-percent expect Vice President Biden to do better.

A separate Pew survey finds Biden is viewed more unfavorably than favorably.

51 percent have a negative view of the vice president while 39 percent see him favorably.

Voters were largely divided about Paul Ryan, with 44-percent viewing him favorably, compared to 40-percent unfavorably.

The nationally televised vice presidential debate will air on NBC at 8:00 pm Central time Thursday night.
