After nearly three days of fighting a wildfire in northwest Nebraska work is winding down for some fire crews.

The blaze has blackened an estimate 3,000 acres northeast of Harrison in Sioux County.

But, officials say it's partially contained, and no damage to any structures have been reported.

Emergency management officials say the fire force is being reduced as crews from Chadron, Gordon, Hay Springs and Rushville are being sent home.

The fire battle in the rugged terrain began Sunday morning.

It's been burning about 80 miles north of a nearly 3,000-acre blaze that's been reported contained in the southern end of the Nebraska Panhandle.
