Woman involved in Sheehy scandal quits job

Tools

Fallout continues from Rick Sheehy's phone calls that led to his resignation. One of the women involved in the scandal has quit her job.

Former Holdrege Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michele Ehresman has resigned from her position as head of the pro agriculture group known as "We Support Agriculture."

The group was started last year and tries to counter criticism aimed at ranchers and others by animal-rights groups.

According to records, Ehresman is one of four women that Sheehy called numerous times on his state issued cell phone.

Governor Heineman announced last Saturday that he had accepted Sheehy's resignation.
