Woman dies in rollover near Grand Island

One woman is dead and a Michigan man remains in critical condition Monday morning following an early morning accident Sunday on Interstate 80 near Grand Island.

The accident happened just before 5:30 am.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Matthew Beasley of North Branch, Michigan was driving eastbound on I-80 when it appears the vehicle left the roadway, driving into the median.

Beasley then over corrected causing the vehicle to roll several times before coming to rest on its roof.

Beasley's passenger, 31-year-old Jennifer Foster, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Beasley was transported to St. Francis Medical Center with serious injuries and, as of Monday morning, is in critical condition.

Beasley's two and three year old daughters who were also in the vehicle were uninjured.
