Patrick D. Langer, 39 of Grand Island, Nebraska, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012.
Mr. Langer was born December 24, 1972 at Fort Carson, CO the son of Susan (Hartley) Wilkinson and Patrick Long.
Pat was raised in Spalding moving to Kearney where he graduated from Kearney Catholic, class of 1991. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Lee on August 20, 1993. They made their home in Hastings and Grand Island. Pat and Carolyn owned and operated Snow’s Floral in Grand Island from 2004-2010. Pat was Manufacturing Operations Manager for Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island. He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served as board chair for Heartland United Way. He and Carolyn co-chaired the 2010 annual fund drive for Stuhr Museum. Pat was a past member of Grand Island Rotary. Some of Pat’s enjoyments included the many family vacations, hunting, fishing, trap shooting and go-carting with his son’s and dad.
Survivors are his wife, Carolyn; sons, Colton and Gavin; his mother, Susan Wilkinson of Marshalltown, IA; his father, Patrick Long of Grand Island; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Peter and Keely Langer of Kearney, NE, Katie and Ben Little of Legrand, IA, Joe Langer and his fiancé, Kelly Brown of Elmwood, NE and Laura Wilkinson of Marshalltown, IA and grandparents, Kathy Hartley of Doniphan, NE and Ambrose and Helen Langer of Spalding, NE. Other survivors are nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, Kenneth Hartley and grandmother, Sadie White.
Patrick D. LangeServices will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island with Reverend Dr. Samuel R. Rathod and Reverend Jay Vetter officiating.
Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the church in Grand Island.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
A memorial fund will be established in Pat’s name.
