Ruth Janet (Oaks) Ernstmeyer, 88, of Lincoln, died on July 18, 2012.

She was born in Seward, NE on July 16, 1924 to Anson and Anna (Brandt) Oaks. She attended school in Staplehurst, NE and graduated from Seward High School. Ruth was married to Deverne "Ernie" Ernstmeyer and born to this union were sons, Terry and Rick. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ernie. Sons, Terry (Linda) Ernstmeyer of Roca, NE, Rick (Connie) Ernstmeyer of Lincoln, NE. Grandchildren, Craig (Tammy) Ernstmeyer of Jackson, MO, Scott (Sara) Ernstmeyer of Lincoln, NE, Becky (Sam) Loewe of Lincoln, NE, Karen (Jason) Breithbarth of Lincoln, NE, Kelley Teague of Hickman, NE. 10 Great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law Lois Hafemeister of Lincoln, NE and Naomi Ernstmeyer of Grand Island, NE. Many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sister Evelyn Story, brother-in-law Kenneth Ernstmeyer and Neal Hafemeister, sister-in-law Ruth and her husband Jack Wilson.
