Hastings resident A. Jeannette Stahl, 89, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings, NE.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE with Rev. Anthony Dawson officiating. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Ansley Cemetery in Ansley, NE. Visitation with the family present will be Monday, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE.

Memorial contributions may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE or P.E.O. Chapter FH Hastings, NE.

Jeannette was born January 8, 1923, to Leon and Ethel (Justice) Bulla in Ansley, NE. She received her education in Ansley and graduated from Ansley High School. She furthered her education by attending Cosmetology School and Business School in Salem, OR. On May 11, 1943, she married Gerald D. Stahl in Broken Bow, NE. She and Gerald resided in Lincoln, NE after WWII, and later in Adams, NE before settling in Harvard, NE. She was employed at Harvard State Bank for 20 years, Harvard Public Schools for 12 years and with Voorhees Insurance Agency for 20 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE, First United Methodist Church Women, the church quilting group, a 50 year member of P.E.O. Chapter L, Mary Lanning Memorial Hosptial Auxiliary, the Harvard Parkview Manor Board for 4 years and a former member of the YWCA.

She is survived by her sons, Delvin Stahl and wife Pamela of Sutton, NE; Gaylen Stahl and wife Susie of Juniata, NE; Dr. Marlin Stahl and wife Becky of Omaha, NE; daughter, Denise Stahl of Omaha, NE; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren; sisters, Winifred Kulhanek of Fremont, NE and Bethine Dossey of Salt Lake City, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald and a brother, James Bulla
