Doris ‘Eileen’ Hagan, 90 of Grand Island died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Grand Island Nebraska Veterans Home.
Celebration services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hagan was born May 4, 1922 at Spencer County, Indiana the daughter of John and Elzora (England) Jessie.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Carl; children and their spouses, Ron and Debbie Hagan of Farwell and Darla and Willie Wagner of Grand Island.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Cindy, Karen, Michelle, Michael, Sheila, Rob and Bryan; step-grandchildren, Stacy, Don, Jason and Joy; fourteen great-grandchildren, thirteen step great-grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters, Harley Jessie, Guy Jessie, Emma Ricker, Betty Tremper, Ann Henager, Marge Serfiniak, Paul Jessie, Jim Jessie and Kathleen Corsini.
Eileen graduated from Lindblom High School in Chicago. She was united in marriage to Carl Edward Hagan on August 3, 1940. They lived in Chicago before buying and operating a fishing lodge in Minnesota in 1963. They moved to Grand Island in 1977.
Eileen was a homemaker and found great joy and pride in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting and playing cards.
