A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Salem Country Church, rural Seward. Pastor Anthony Troyer officiating. Interment will be in Salem Country Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, 1-9pm with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Visitation also one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials have been established and may be directed in care of the family.

Gary Wayne Yeackley was born May 4, 1942 on his parent's farm near Miliford, Nebraska to Melvin and Agnes (Rediger) Yeackley and passed away suddenly Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his home near Milford, at the age of 70 years 6 months and 6 days. As a young boy he attended Stauffer country school and later attended Milford Public School. Gary worked on the farm with his father following his high school years. He was united in marriage to Carol Reil on March 20, 1964 at the Milford Mennonite Church and to this union three children were born, Denny, Sara and Sharla.

Together they made their home near Milford where he owned and operated Gary’s Refuse Service. He later owned and operated D&M Building Systems for over 25 years.

Gary was a member of Salem Country Church and through his faith for many years he was involved in prison ministries and missions.

Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol, son, Denny Yeackley, both of Milford, daughters, Sara Schweitzer and Sharla Yeackley, both of Lincoln, mother, Agnes Yeackley, Milford, twin sister, Carolyn Kremer and her husband Gary, Milford, brother, Rodney Yeackley, Milford, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris and Clyde Kremer, Canon City, CO, Nancy and Roger Roth, Beaver Crossing, Judy and Jerrel Roth, Milford, Connie and Bill Stauffer, Colorado Springs, CO, Nona and Rick French, Mound Ridge, KS, Vickie and Larry Schweitzer, Friend, Wes and Deb Reil, Pleasant Dale, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin, parents-in-law, Wesley and Elva Reil.
