Hastings resident, Dennis A. Klein, 52, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Haven Home, Kenesaw, Nebraska after a long battle with cancer.

Services will be Friday, November 16, 2012; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Roseland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012; 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with family present, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Dennis was born June 14, 1960 in Hastings, Nebraska to Everett J. & Lorene M. (Schumm) Klein. He graduated from Roseland High School in 1978. Dennis was a semi truck driver before working as a carpenter for Diecker Construction for 21 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and liked to hunt, fish, and play cards. Dennis was married and later divorced after having two children.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Everett; brother, Robert; and grandparents.
