Funeral Services for Betty K. Stadler will be conducted from the North Park Assembly of God Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Steinbach, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Betty Kay Stadler, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Betty was born February 18, 1943 at Holdrege, the youngest of three children born to William and Jane (Frost) Kruback. She received her education from Holdrege Public Schools. On April 25, 1959 she was united in marriage to Dickie Lee “Dick” Stadler and to this union four children were born: Dora Jane, Brenda, Dickie Jr., and Danny. The family made their home in Holdrege, where Betty split over thirty years of employment between Artistic Woven Labels, Bethphage Mission in Axtell and Becton-Dickinson prior to her retirement. On February 28, 1997 she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick.
She was a past member of the Holdrege Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed playing cards, especially canasta, she also enjoyed playing Bingo twice a week. After her health failed, she loved to keep in touch with people on Facebook. Betty loved watching TV, especially her favorite programs of Soap Operas and WWE Wrestling. She had a vast collection of Elvis memorabilia. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Dick, Betty was preceded in death by her infant brother, Charley Kruback; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Dora and Roy Stadler; two sisters-in-law: Idella Nelson and Karen Johnson and her husband, Glenn; and three brothers-in-law: Bill Skaggs and George and Roy Stadler.
She leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters: Dora Jane Wilbur and her special friend, Silvestre of Kearney, Nebraska and Brenda Bergstrom and her husband, David of Funk, Nebraska; two sons: Dickie Stadler Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Axtell, Nebraska and Danny Stadler of Holdrege; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Skaggs of Hastings, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Dale Nelson of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
