Cena Vieth, 79 of Ashton, NE died Monday, December 24, 2012 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island, NE. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City with Stan Tiller officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29 at Prairie Home Cemetery in Diller, NE. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cena Ellen (Gebhard) Vieth was born November 7, 1933 at Wymore, NE to Ben and Anna (Lottman) Gebhard. She grew up and attended school in Diller, NE. On November 14, 1953 she married Fred S. Vieth in Diller, NE. Throughout her lifetime she was a school teacher, secretary and nurses aid.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas and wife, Jinling Vieth of Boelus, NE; Tracy Vieth of Ashton; Scott and wife, LaDonna Vieth of St. Paul, NE; daughters, Valerie Vieth of Loup City, NE and Peggy Vieth of Ashton, NE; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Marjorie Wollenbert of Hollenberg, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Vieth; daughter, Teresa Vieth and sister, Glades Duensing.
