Annice M. Utecht the daughter of Wayne and Rose (Parker) Shurtleff was born September 16, 1950 at Falls City, Nebraska. She departed this life on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Falls City, Nebraska at the age of 62 years.

Annice was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School with the class of 1968. Following graduation Annice attended Peru State College at Peru, Nebraska. Annice was united in marriage to Paul Utecht on November 20, 1971 at Rulo, Nebraska. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons. Paul and Annice established their home in Superior, NE.

Annice worked for Mid Nebraska Individual Services in Superior, Nebraska from 1978 to 2007. While employed at Mid Nebraska Annice was a case manager and later she worked for Nebraska Health and Human Services and served as a service coordinator. Annice retired in 2011 and moved back home to Falls City.

Annice enjoyed her work at Mid Nebraska, time spent in her garden, cooking for her family and dearly loved being with her grandchildren. Annice had been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Superior, NE.

She is preceded in death by her father, sisters Carol Shurtleff and Sue Petsche and an infant sister Cheryl.

Survivors include her husband Paul of Superior, NE; sons Scott Utecht and wife Valerie of Liberty, MO; Kirk Utecht of Superior, NE; mother Rose Shurtleff of Falls City, NE; brother Kenneth Shurtleff and wife Barb of Milford, NE; sisters Jean Sailors of Falls City, NE and Harriett Shurtleff of Falls City, NE; 3 grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

May you rest in peace Annice. I remember you taking me under your wing,training me to be a good Service Coordinator. We had some good laughs and chats in your office. You were more than a good supervisor you were a good person, caring and understand.
