James Henry Christensen, Jr., 64, of Grand Island died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Golden Living Center Parkplace.

Graveside services will be at 1 pm Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park. There will be no visitation, Mr. Christensen was cremated. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

James was born on November 13, 1948 at Grand Island to James H. and Bessie (Darrough) Christensen. He grew up and received his education in Grand Island. Following high school he worked as a handyman for the Coney Island Café.

He is survived by two aunts, Florence Christensen of Grand Island and Doris Thieoff of Lees Summit, MO; four nieces; a nephew; and numerous cousins.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David and his grandparents.
