Hastings resident, Catherine Cornell, 88, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, January 10, 2013; 4:30 P.M. at Peace Chapel – Perkins Pavilion, Hastings with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Mid-Nebraska Individual Services or Good Samaritan Village. There will be no viewing or visitation. Book signing will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013; 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Catherine was born June 20, 1924 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Charles D. & Mary C. (Stover) Cornell. She moved from the Mosaic Home to Mid-Nebraska Individual Services in August 2005 where she worked doing peace work. Catherine moved to Good Samaritan Village on October 24, 2011. She attended North Shore Assembly of God.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Sarah & George Stover; and uncle, Harlan W. Stover.
