Hastings resident Wilbur L. Dillon, 94, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE.

Wilbur was born October 7, 1918 to Fred and Weltha (Sealock) Dillon in Portis, KS. He served in 32d inf division in the United States Army from August 1942 to July 1945. He married Helen M. Barnes on July 31, 1945; she passed away May, 4, 2009. They moved to Hastings coming from Smith Center, KS in 1953 where he was a farmer. They moved to Juniata, NE in 1958 then to Good Samaritan Village in 2001. He had worked at Hansen Building Specialties in Hastings, NE as a fabricator.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Margaret Trausch and husband Gary of Juniata, Colleen Dillon of Olathe, KS and Peggy Dillon of Lincoln, NE, 1 son Mike Dillon of Hastings, NE, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Helen, 1 daughter Mary Lou, an infant son Ronnie and 1 son-in-law Jack Schadley.
