Hastings resident, Jose Martin Briseno, 33 passed away Thursday, January 16, 2013.

Rosary will be Friday, January 18, 2013 at 8 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father James Benton officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday January 19, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings, NE with Father James Benton officiating. Visitations will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 am, at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Jose was born July 8, 1979 to Martin and Elsa Briseno in Guadalajara Jalico, Mexico. He grew up in Guadalajara and has lived in Hastings for 17 years. He worked for Witt Plumbing, Hastings, NE.

He was a member of the Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Mexico.

He is survived by his wife Diana Valdez, daughter, Ivy Lane Briseno, and son Christian James Briseno, his parents, Martin Briseno Leon and Elsa Cardenas de Briseno, and two sisters Elsa Serrano and husband Jaime and Maria Briseno.
