Hastings resident, Harold Favinger, 86, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, NE.

Harold was born March 26, 1926 to Vern and Nettie (Fulton) Favinger in Bladen, NE. He grew up in Bladen and graduated from the Bladen High School in 1945. He married Janice Christensen of June of 1950, Janice later passed away. He married Dorothy Sinner in May of 1987. He lived in Bladen all his life before moving to Hastings in 1964. He worked at the Juniata Elevator, retiring in 1988. He moved to Good Samaritan Village in 1992 where he had lived till he passed away.

He was a member of the Eagles Club in Hastings. He enjoyed caring for his yard, gardening, being outdoors and especially he loved being around family.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy and one son Mike both of Hastings, NE, one daughter Sheila Steele of Kearney, NE, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and one sister Betty Karr of Bladen, NE.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Janice, one sister and five brothers.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 2 pm at All Saints Chapel, GSV, Hastings, NE with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to www.brandwilson.com.
