Hastings resident, Dorothy Maxine Sultzer, 95, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE.

Services will be today at 2 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Murray officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time in the chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com.

Dorothy was born August 13, 1917 in Wymore, NE to George Frank and Pearl Lettie (Holroyd) Hicks. She graduated from Hastings Senior High. She married Lester Sultzer on June 4, 1938 in Hastings, NE, Lester passed away May of 1975. She worked as a phone operator for the Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph.

She enjoyed spoiling her many grandchildren, playing cards and drinking coffee.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Bekke of Hastings, NE and Patricia Tatro and husband Lloyd of Bennett, CO, 7 grandchildren, Tami Ely and husband Mike of Grafton, NE, Jeff Ochsner and wife Sheila of Sutton, NE, Kathy Nuss and husband Todd of Sutton, NE, Kristie Moser and husband Rick of Liberty, MO, Ryan Bekke and wife Jennifer of Brule, NE, Russell Anders and wife Gina of Alliance, NE and Jody Anders of Watkins, CO, 22 Great Grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester, two daughters, Mary Kay Sultzer and Linda Ochsner, great grandson, Cole Ochsner, sister, Vera Bonness and three brothers Elwood, Clifford, and LaVelle Hicks.
