Hastings resident, Donald “Don” M. Rosch, 92, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, February 19, 2013; 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Warneke officiating. Private burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska. There will be no visitation.

Donald was born September 6, 1920 in Wabasha County, Minnesota to Andrew & Bertha (Fetzer) Rosch. On November 2, 1946 he married Anita Scheidies, they met while working at the Navel Ammunition Depot and had been married for 64 years. Donald worked on the family farm in Zumbro Falls, Minnesota and in the ship yard in Bremerton, Washington prior to moving to Hastings, Nebraska from 1936 until 1940. He worked at the Navel Ammunition Depot in Hastings in the early to mid 1940’s and then went to work for Johnson Cashway Lumber Company in Hastings as Senior Vice President and General Manager for 39 years before retiring in 1985. He loved to fish and travel.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita Rosch; and one sister, Dorothy Henn.
