Donald Omer Devitt the son of Omer F. and Nellie E. (Bowman) Devitt was born October 6, 1923 at Oak, Nebraska. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Rose Brook Care Center in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 89 years.

Don was united in marriage to Clara Moore to which three children were born to this union. Don farmed for a short period before working over 17 years for the Burlington Northern Railroad. After leaving the railroad Don worked for Minneapolis Moline in Edgar, John Deere of Fairfield and Geneva and later worked for Shuck Drilling from which he retired from. Clara and Don also had rental properties for many years.
