Brandy Christine Bond, 38 of Cozad, formerly of Grand Island died Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center following complications from an illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 511 N. Elm, Grand Island. Reverend Jay Vetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Chapman, NE Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel, 2929 S. Locust, Grand Island.

Brandy was born March 12, 1974 at Grand Island the daughter of Jerry and Nancy (McMillan) Bond.

Survivors are her mother, Nancy Fisher of Grand Island; her father and stepmother, Jerry and Cynthia Bond of Alda; fiancé, Marcus Krueger of Pleasanton and grandmother, Norma McMillan of Grand Island.

Those also left to cherish her memory are her uncles and aunts, Russ and Eileen McMillan and Mary Kohl, Ronald and Gail Bond, Sheri and Henry Husen; many cousins and her four legged friends, Tootsie, Fletcher and Wiggins.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dale McMillan; grandparents, Donald and Dolly Bond and cousin, Matthew Bond.

Brandy is a graduate of Grand Island Northwest High School, class of 1992. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Kearney and had been receiving hours for her master degree from UNK and Concordia.

Brandy was in her 8th year of teaching in Cozad. She was involved in early childhood education, elementary art and P.E. She was also the 7th grade assistant basketball coach.

Memberships include Trinity United Methodist Church and Nebraska Education Association. She was an avid NASCAR fan; loved Harley Davidson’s and enjoyed quilting.

A memorial fund will be established in memory of Brandy to benefit Trinity United Methodist Church or Cozad Public Schools.
