(Tim) Timothy R. Stueben, 55 of Grand Island died Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Reverend Michael E. Wetovick will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday with a parish rosary at 7 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Mr. Stueben was born February 9, 1958 at Grand Island the son of Glenn and Delores (Long) Stueben.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; son, Nicholas (Nick) Stueben and his friend Lindsey Parker of Grand Island and daughter, Chelsea Stueben and her friend Zane Brown of Grand Island; his mother, Delores Stueben of Grand Island; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Karla Stueben of Boelus and his sister, Tammy Dumas of Grand Island.
Other survivors are his mother-in-law, Helen Ruzicka; brother-in-law, Don Ruzicka and sisters-in-law, Jan (Warren) Wheeler, Joann (Randy) Karl, Cheryl (Norm) Nietfeldt and Doris (Chuck) Winkler; numerous nephews and nieces and many friends he considered family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn; father-in-law, Joe Ruzicka and brother-in-law, Ray Ruzicka.
Tim graduated from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1977. He was united in marriage to Susan Ruzicka on April 20, 1979. They made their home in Grand Island where Tim worked for Kelley Well, G.R. Stueben Trucking, New Holland, Nash Finch for 20 years, owned Stueben Trucking and drove for Sunrise Express until 2008. He became owner of Stueby’s Alibi Lounge in 2009.
Tim enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cabin at Sherman. He enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and all the customers of Stueby’s Alibi.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in memory of Tim.
