Gary L. Boysen, 69, of Central City, formerly of Grand Island died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Central City Care Center.

Burial will be in Havelock, Iowa. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

Gary was born April 10, 1943 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Louis and Myrna (Stover) Boysen.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Pat Boysen of Grand Island; nieces and nephew, Connie Keating of Overland Park, KS, Mark Boysen of Lincoln, Lee Sementa of Lombard, IL and Amy Reinke of Mesa, AZ; and friends and caregivers at Central City Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Arthur E. “Gene” Boysen.

Gary grew up and attended school in Havelock, moving to Grand Island in the late 1950’s. For several years he was employed by Pepsi Bottling in Grand Island, and never lost his taste for Diet Pepsi. He also worked for his father’s business.

Gary will be remembered for his smile. He was a charmer and loved to joke around.
