Dolores Mae "Dodie" Spencer, 83, of Red Cloud, Nebraska died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud. The daughter of Violet (Logan) and John Floyd "jack" McCormick, she was born February 24, 1929 at Sterling, Colorado.

Dodie was united in marriage with Elmo Eugene Spencer on October 25, 1958 at Moses Lake, Washington. They lived much of their life on the Portland, Oregon area where she worked as a bookkeeper and retired after a 50-year career. She also had for a number of years a candle and gift shop in Portland. Her husband died on January 3, 1999.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and a son, Christopher Craig Naylor.

Left to treasure her memory are her sons, Johnny James Naylor and Randall Richard Naylor both of Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline Jane McCormick of Milwaukie, Oregon; Margaret Louise Egger and Mary Elizabeth Illk both of Portland, Oregon; a brother Robert Logan McCormick of Milwaukie, Oregon, other relatives and friends.

Interment of the cremains was at the Guide Rock Cemetery.
