Deb Fischer selects staff members

Senator-elect Deb Fischer has picked two Nebraskans to lead her Washington D.C. and Nebraska staff.

Nebraska Public Service Commission Executive Director Mike Hybl will serve as Fischer's chief of staff.

Fischer says that Hybl's understanding of public policy and the respect he has throughout state government made him the right choice to head up her staff.

Dustin Vaughan has been named Fischer’s state director.

Since 2007, Vaughan has served as the legal counsel to the transportation and telecommunications committee of the Nebraska legislature.

Before that, he was the legislative aide to Fischer in the legislature.
