A 32-year-old Nebraska man is charged with sexually abusing at least three boys, possibly more, over an eight-year span in Nebraska and Iowa.

Authorities say Robert Schuster has been charged with sexual assaults in both states. A Pottawattamie County, Iowa, jailer said Schuster remained in custody on Friday, pending $250,000 bail. Online court records don't list the name of his attorney.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says Schuster, of Martell, Neb., befriended the boys' parents and groomed the boys with gifts and trips from 2002 to 2009.

Schuster is alleged to have assaulted two of the boys during overnight trips to Council Bluffs, Iowa. Authorities say he also may have lived there for a time.

Nebraska investigators say other assaults occurred in Lancaster and Gage counties.
