More details released in hunting accident near St. Libory

New information tonight on a hunting accident over the weekend that killed a Saint Paul man. 50-year-old Donald Vanis was shot Saturday afternoon while on a coyote hunt.

The group was shooting from both sides of a set of trees when Vanis was struck by a bullet.

The shooting happened three miles northwest of Saint Libory.

Vanis died Saturday afternoon at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Autopsy results are still pending.
