OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ The Omaha school board has decided to conduct another national search for a superintendent. The board voted Monday night for a new search and to begin the process for appointing an interim superintendent.

On Saturday the board accepted the resignation of former Des Moines Superintendent Nancy Sebring. A records search showed she'd exchanged sexually explicit emails with a lover using the Des Moines district's computers.

Sebring had been scheduled to start in Omaha in July. But that plan unraveled after she resigned suddenly from her Des Moines job on May 10.

The Omaha board had selected Sebring in April out of three finalists to replace John Mackiel, who plans to retire this summer.

Board President Freddie Gray said Monday that she hadn't talked to Mackiel about staying longer.
