OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ An Omaha police officer involved in a violent arrest that was caught on video can return to work.

The city says an independent labor arbitrator has ruled to reinstate Officer Jackie Dolinsky. She was involved in the arrest of an Omaha man outside a hospital in May 2011. She and another officer were fired.

The arbitrator determined that Dolinsky's firing was inappropriate.

Officer Aaron Pennington is awaiting his arbitration hearing this summer.

The man arrested, Robert Wagner, pleaded no contest last month to a misdemeanor charge of attempted assault of a police office. Sentencing is June 27.

Police say Wagner was causing a disturbance and hit an officer who tried to handcuff him. A security camera showed officers forcefully taking Wagner into custody.
