One of the many people to meet here the first three days of the fair is none other than Husker Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers.

John is at the RFD-TV booth with his Heisman Trophy and the new Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers Award presented to the best kick returner in college football.

Joe Adams of the Arkansas Razorbacks won the first The Jet Rodgers Award last season.

Of course, John's most famous play is that punt return for a touchdown giving the Huskers a 7-0 lead over the Oklahoma Sooners in the 1971 So Called Game of the Century won by the Huskers 35-31 enroute to the National Championship.

With Nebraska's season starting a week from tomorrow against Southern Miss, John says he feels this years' Huskers are starting to develop some of the charastics of a championship football team.

John is at the RFD-TV booth again Saturday and Sunday at noon and 5:00 to sign autographs, meet people and talk Nebraska football.
