With only days until the State Fair kicks off there's hope that the sky tram will be ready for opening weekend.

Construction is moving forward despite a truck accident damaging parts for the tram. Now, state fair officials say it's a race to the finish line.

"You can see that the frames for the gondolas are going up on the cable and we've seen the cable move a little bit so we're hopeful that everything will be up and running if not for opening day, sometime during the fair," said Facility Director Jaime Parr.

State Fair officials were worried about the fate of the sky tram after the accident. Now the tram is getting back on track with the arrival of the hydraulic system on Sunday.
