Tiny the steer impresses fair crowds
The cattle barn is the temporary home for one of Nebraska's biggest. Meet Tiny. He weighs in at 3,000 pounds and is currently Nebraska's largest steer. Tiny came to Nebraska when he was 2 and a half. He eats 65 to 75 pounds of feed every day and weighs more than double the average steer.
"We decided to do this just for fun and the kids can see him. It just kinda turned into a let's see how big we can get him type of thing," said Jeffrey Folmer, Nutritionist Performance Plus. Tiny lives permanently at Folmer's farm in Nebraska. So just how did Tiny get so big? He just kept eating. He got too big to be sold off to a packing house and now he gets to live a pampered life as a pet. |
