State Senator Ken Haar introduced a bill on Wednesday that would make it mandatory for public schools in Nebraska to offer sexual education.

If passed, sex ed would have to be available in all schools by the 2014-15 school year.

The curriculum would include information on the consistent and correct use of all other approved contraceptive methods.

Parents would be able to remove their children from the class at any time.
