Last season, they won a share of the American Legion baseball state tournament. This season, Tino Martinez' Grand Island Home Federal baseball team is playing more championship baseball. Can they win the Cornhusker league title?

Let's go to the contest between Home Federal and Lincoln Pinnacle Bank, on a picture perfect night.

In the bottom of the first, Jordan Ramirez is at 2nd for Home Federal.
Creighton Bluejay recruit Will Bomsberger rips one deep to right. It bounces over the fence for a book rule double. Home Federal takes a 1-0 lead.

Now on the pitch in the dirt, Will breaks for 3rd. He is in ahead of the tag with two outs.

Then Alec Waters is up there with two outs, he delivers an infield basehit scoring Will and its 2-0.

We move to the top of the 2nd, now 2-1 Home Federal, Pinnacle looking to tie the game. The bases are loaded with one out.

Kyle Simonds throws on in the dirt, it gets away for a wild pitch. Scott Honnens scores to tie the game at 2.

Gavin Friehoff then bounces one to 2nd, Eric Anderson scores on the infield out, Lincoln Pinnacle takes a 3-2 lead. But the win in this one goes to Home Federal.
