GINW coach celebrates 600th win

Chance are coach Diane Rouzee of the Grand Island Northwest Volleyball team is thinking more about the district championship game against Aurora Thursday than her 600th win Tuesday night.

The milestone victory came Tuesday night in the B-5 district tournament in a three game sweep of the Hastings Tigers. She is proud of her team for achieving that milestone.

"As a coach I am just very blessed. I've been at the same school for 29 years and every year I think it can't get much better than this, then something happens. And this year has been so neat to have a group of kids come together and meet each other, get to know each other and find a way to make it happen," said Rouzee.

The Vikings have been Class B State Runners-up for five consecutive years.
