Husker baseball and Freshman Pat Kelly is picking up another Freshman All-American honor.

Kelly has already been named to the Collegiate Baseball and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association teams and Thursday he was tabbed as part of Baseball America's freshman all-American team as well.

Kelly becomes the first Husker to pick up three freshman all-American honors since Matt Hopper did it in 2000 when Hopper was honored by Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America and Baseball Weekly.

This season Kelly posted very good numbers batting .313 with eight homeruns and 37 RBI.

Twice during the season Kelly was named Big 10 Freshman of the week while also being named third team All-Big 10.
