Husker basketball finds mixed results

It was a tale of two games for Nebraska in El Paso this past weekend at the Sun Bowl Invitational.

Chapter one was a nice read with Huskers shooting 57% from the floor and 50% from deep on their way to an 89 to 65 victory over the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The Championship game...gloomy. Nebraska absolutely stymied in the first half on the offensive end of the floor going scoreless for the first 6 and a half minutes against the UTEP Miners until Mike Peltz made a layup at the 13:33 mark.

In the end not even a career night for Ray Gallegos 22 points could rescue the Huskers in this one as everyone else shot a sterling 27% from the floor.

Huskers looking to get right at home and it appears they have just the opponent to do so as 1-8 Nicholls State rolls into town

That one is yours on Saturday at 2:00 at the Devaney Center.
