Husker fans gather for bowl watching
Tuesday may have been a loss for the Huskers, but it was an exciting game for the fans. While some watched the game from home, others opted to watch at local sports bars.
News 5's Lauren Coney was at Bullseye's in Hastings Tuesday. Of course fans wanted to see the Huskers do better, but they're still proud of their team. Go Big Red! Go Big Red! Go Big Red! Go Big Red! "Well kind of nervous. My heart... Touchdown! Touchdown Nebraska," said Lee Daily. "I'd like to see them in the national champs, but you know, this team needs a little bit more improvement," Scott Hruby said. "Yes, highs and lows, but our lows have been our fault. Poor decision making, poor plays, we get a lot of flags," said LeeAnn Buhr. "We've had a couple big blowouts, then we'd come back and play well, but we did have a ten win season and we're in the Capital One Bowl, so you can't complain too much," Allan Bruning said. "I think there's a lot of retrospect with Tom Osborne leaving. You know, everyone wants to appease him and no one's ever going to out do him," said Buhr. "It is what it is. We're faithful fans. We're going to be sitting here and rooting them on." "Always a fan as long as I can remember and I always will be. You know, 10-0, or 0-10, I'll be wearing the red," Bruning said. And with the season over you'll have to wait until April for the Red-White Spring Game for more football unless it's cancelled again due to weather like last year. |
