Husker women heading to NCAA tournament

There has been little question all season that Connie Yori's Nebraska Basketball team would be invited to the "Big Dance", the NCAA Tournament. That invitation has come in the last few minutes.

The Huskers are ranked 24th in the latest poll and will take their 23-8 mark into action against an unnamed foe.

Nebraska finished the Big 10 regular season 12-4 then lost to Purdue in the 2nd round of the Big 10 Tournament.

Nebraska had won 10 straight games from January 20th until suffering a loss to 8th ranked Penn State March 3rd.

A good run in the tournament for Nebraska would be the way to finish what has been an outstanding season before moving to the new Pinnacle Bank Arena next season.
