Huskers celebrate team achievements

The achievements of several Huskers will be relived after the teams' annual dinner last month before the Capital One Bowl against Georgia.

Once again, linebacker Will Compton will again be cited as the team's defensive Most Valuable Player.

Will had a "pick six" for a touchdown in the Captial One Bowl and play in an NFLPA All-Star game in California January 19th.

Running back Rex Burkhead won the Guy Chamberlain award while QB Taylor Martinez was offensive MVP.

Defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler won the Cletis Fisher native son award and linebacker Sean Fisher took the Tom Novak trophy and Bobby Reynolds award named after the legendary Grand Island native.
